The first day of school for the Westwood Community School District is Monday, August 28! Grades 1-12 will have a full day, while kindergartners will have a 1/2 day.

The Westwood Community School District is replacing all telephones throughout the District. You may experience some difficulty getting through to the offices. All phones are scheduled to be replaced by close of business August 23, 2023. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Westwood will begin summer hours on Monday, June 19, 2023. Summer hours will be Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The District will be closed June 30-July 7, 2023. We will reopen on July 10, 2023 at 7 a.m., and will resume summer hours until August 10, 2023.

The lawn service company for the District will apply Tri-Power Herbicide on various grassy areas on July 29, 2023. For more information, please read the attached documents.

The Westwood Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Friday, June 30, 2023. The purpose of the meeting is to approve an amended contract for Superintendent Dr. Stiles Simmons.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Equilla Bradford Administrative Center, 3335 S. Beech Daly, Dearborn Heights.
